Short Manaslu Circuit Trek via Arughat is the quickest way to complete the off-the-beaten Manaslu Circuit in 14 days. In two weeks, the trek introduces you to all the major highlights of the isolated Budi Gandaki and Nubri valley, including up-close views of the eighth highest mountains in the world, Mt. Manaslu.
Usually, the longer routes take a tedious ride from Kathmandu to Barpak and then trek to Laprak, then another to get to the Jagat, the entrance of the Manaslu region. However, skipping it, this short itinerary has been possible with the quick drive from Kathmandu to Machha Khola via Arughat and then a day's trek to reach Jagat, which cuts short around 2 days. After Jagat, the route encircles Mt. Manaslu by passing sparsely populated Tibetan Buddhist villages like Sama, Namrung, and Samado. Crossing the Larkya La Pass (5,165m/16,929ft), the trek ends at Dharapani.
Enjoy the fascinating experience of visiting one of the hard-to-reach restricted trekking areas protected in Nepal. The Short Manaslu Circuit trek is best for those looking to witness all of the wonders the Manaslu region offers in the quickest possible way.
