Classic Nepal Tour - 10 days

Welcome to the land of the Himalayan country, Nepal! On arrival in Kathmandu, you will meet the representative from Third Rock Adventures and drive to the respective hotel. Once you reach the hotel, you will get some time to settle in, and later you will attend a small meeting where your tour leader will brief you about the trip. 

Later, you will explore the main streets of the city. Some famous streets include Ason Bazaar, Indrachowk, Kathmandu’s Durbar Square. In the evening, you will get some time to explore Thamel, which offers you the original flavor of the tourist area in Nepal. It is a bustling center for shopping, eating, or just strolling around.

On the second day, you will heads out to explore the Kathmandu valley and nearby places. Early in the morning, you will have a healthy breakfast and visit Patan Durbar Square, Golden Temple located in the heart of Patan City. The place showcases the marvelous Newari architecture, including ancient monuments, temples, shrines, and statues. 

Later, you will visit Pashupatinath Temple, located on the banks of the holy Bagmati river. It is one of the famous Hindu temples devoted to Lord Shiva. Around the temple area, you will witness sadhus (Hindu Holy Men) meditating, pilgrims bathing, and funeral pyres burning on ghats. 

Further, you will also visit Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest stupas in Nepal. You can see a vast dome-shaped monument representing the Mind of the Buddha. You will also explore Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), situated at the top of a hill offering a marvelous view of Kathmandu valley and mountain ranges.

After morning breakfast, you will leave Kathmandu and fly to the lakeside town of Pokhara. It is the main access point for trekking in the Annapurna region of Nepal. Pokhara is famous for its outstanding natural beauty, such as lakes, spectacular views of the mountains. It is an absolute delight to explore as part of your classic Nepal tour.

You will visit some of the most remarkable landmarks of Pokhara valley, including Tal Barahi Temple, the famous Davis waterfall, mysterious Gupteshwor Cave, and attractive Phewa Lake. Likewise, you will also go International Mountain Museum, where you can see the collection of artifacts, photographs of the mountains, and mountaineers.

You will head off early in the morning to catch the sunrise view over the horizon at Sarangkot. The hill rewards you with an outstanding sunrise views over the Annapurna, Dhaulagiri Range, and Fishtail Mountain (Machhapuchhare). After enjoying the dramatic mountain view and pristine air, you will drive back to the hotel and have your breakfast. 

Later you can enjoy a free day for further exploration of tranquil Pokhara city. You can also go paddle-boating or kayak on serene Phewa Lake. Also, you can stroll around the lakeside enjoy the magical view of the Annapurna Himalayan range. Pokhara offers some of the best nightclubs and restaurants serving international cuisines and traditional Nepalese food.

Early in the morning, you will drive to the beautiful Bandipur town. The hill town is the perfect place to get to know about the Newari and Gurung people. Besides, the rich cultural heritage and natural beauty of Bandipur village reflect the pristine aesthetic beauty of Nepal. You will explore the unspoiled and well-preserved town of Bandipur. Moreover, the ancient village retains its beautiful 18th-century architecture, temples, and local streets. You will see the narrow lanes lined with cafes, lodges with lovely outdoor seating.

After morning breakfast, you will leave the historic town behind and proceed for Chitwan National Park. Further, depending on the arrival time, the activities may vary as you can explore the park first. Also, you can visit the nearby Tharu village and Tharu cultural museum. You can interact with the local Tharu people, who are the original tribe of this region. They have their language, culture, and traditional beliefs. Further, you can also enjoy Tharu cultural dance with various cuisines, including Nepalese, Indian, Chinese, etc.

Chitwan National Park day tour offers an opportunity to enjoy the scenic wilderness through several exciting, adventurous activities to choose from. You can be part of jeep jungle safari, jungle walk, canoe ride, bird watching, and many more. Today, you will get more closer to nature and earth as you will explore the Chitwan National Park. Likewise, it is home to many endangered animals, such as one-horned rhinoceros, royal Bengal tiger, gharial crocodile, sloth bear, leopard, etc. Undoubtedly, Chitwan is indeed a paradise for wildlife adventure lovers!

Chitwan National Park is also well-known for bird watching and something that interests you; then, you can also go for an optional bird-watching safari early in the morning. The national park has more than 549 species of birds, including the endangered bird Bengal Florican. 

After breakfast, you will fly to Kathmandu and head towards the ancient Newari Bhaktapur city of Nepal. During the 15th century, it was the capital of Nepal and the Great Malla Kingdom. It is one of the three medieval cities in the Kathmandu valley famous for medieval arts and grand architecture. After settling in, you can walk through the stone-patched streets and explore local Newari culture and lifestyle.  

Overnight stay in Bhaktapur. 

After having breakfast, you will head out to explore Bhaktapur, which has the best-preserved temples, courtyards, and beautiful ponds. It is home to traditional art and architecture, historical monuments, and beautiful craftworks.

After exploring this ancient city, finally, your entire trip has almost come to an end with the final drive to Kathmandu. With a beautiful memory of the whole trip, you will enjoy the short one-hour drive to Kathmandu from Bhaktapur. You will enjoy the picturesque view of the countryside, green terrace fields, far distant Himalayas, and dense forests for one last time. Once you arrive in Kathmandu, you can get a refresh and walk around the streets of Thamel.

Finally, your tour comes to an end! After having breakfast, you will get some free time in Kathmandu, and then you will get a transfer to the airport for departure.
