This short Poon Hill and Ghandruk trek begins with a short yet scenic flight to the beautiful lakeside city of Pokhara. From here, you'll drive to Banthanti, the starting point of the trek. Next, you'll hike to the charming village of Ghorepani, surrounded by picturesque, terraced fields. The next day, early morning before dawn, you'll start your hike to Poon Hill to catch the marvelous sunrise over the entire Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Mountain ranges.
Afterward, you'll move to the bustling heritage village of Ghandruk, the next major highlight of this short and easy trip. Upon arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, a representative from Third Rock Adventures will receive you. After completing all airport formalities, you'll go to the domestic terminal to catch a scenic flight to Pokhara.
In Pokhara, you'll be transferred to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the evening at your leisure. You can walk around the lakeside part that offers many tourist attractions and beautiful views.

Early morning you'll drive to Banthanti, where you'll begin your trek toward Ghorepani. Walking through a tranquil trail through beautiful woods, you'll pass several streams and listen to nature. On this trail section, you'll catch a splendid glimpse of Annapurna South and Hiunchuli. You'll gradually climb uphill through green hills and forests and reach Ghorepani village.
The ancient traders often used Ghorepani as a popular stopover to quench their horses' thirst. But now this village has been modernized with many amenities like hot showers, bookstores, coffeeshop, bakery cafes, etc. You can spend quality time by taking a hot shower, reading books, and enjoying tea or coffee.

Pooh Hill -famous viewpoint in Nepal
Wake up early in the morning and begin your climb to Poon Hill in about an hour. It's a famous viewpoint in Nepal, a paradise for photographers offering epic 360-degree mountain vistas. The glorious sunrise views on Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges are spectacular. It is worth the hour-long early morning climb along stone stairs through dense rhododendron forests.
You'll behold the crystal-clear mountains lingering on the horizon in both directions. It is a sight you won't forget for your lifetime. Later you'll get back to Poon Hill and have your breakfast. Afterward, you'll begin your trek, and passing through beautiful Deurali village, you'll make your way to Tadapani.

After breakfast in Tadapani, you'll head toward Ghandruk, a gorgeous Gurung village in the mountains just south of the famous Annapurna range. Today's walk is easy as compared to previous days.
After some downhill trek, you'll arrive at Bhise-Kharka, continue walking on forested trails, and reach Ghandruk village. The ethnic Gurung community populates this terraced mountain village. There are several shops, cafes, and teahouses. Admire the magnificent scenes of the gigantic peaks of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre in the distance.

Wake up with an astonishing panorama of the massif Annapurna range. Enjoying the beautiful mountain scenery, you'll have your breakfast. Later, you'll make an easy trek downhill to Birethanti, where a jeep will be waiting to transfer to Pokhara first, and then you'll fly back to Kathmandu.
Once you reach Kathmandu, you can rest and explore Thamel, a popular tourist hub. You can easily find restaurants, cafes, pubs, and so on. Also, Thamel is very famous for its nightlife. You can enjoy live music at any of the cafes or restaurants.

It's time to say farewell to Nepal. Enjoy your last moments in Kathmandu. If you have time, you can stroll nearby places and do some souvenir shopping. Depending on your flight time, a representative from Third Rock Adventures will drop you at the airport. Being at the airport three hours before your departure flight is always good.
