Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
You will have an early breakfast, and then the guide will provide you with the bike and do the briefing. To get acquainted with the motorbike, head out for a drive to Nagarkot, a hill station located east of Kathmandu. The hour-and-a-half drive offers some scenic views of the hills of Katmandu, as well as passing waterfalls. Stop at the base of the Nagarkot view tower and then hike up to enjoy the excellent views of the Himalayas at a distance.
Rest briefly, and head to Changunarayan temple, west of Nagarkot. In half an hour, you will reach Changunarayan Temple, a 2-story temple built in honor of Lord Vishnu, one of the oldest Hindu temples in Nepal. You can also view the distant mountains from the view tower there.
After having lunch, you will take a short drive to Bhaktapur, south of the temple. Visit the Bhaktapur Durbar Square, famous for its museum and ancient structures.
Overnight stay in Bhaktapur.
Today will be a busy day, so wake up early in the morning to get your riding gear and bike ready for a drive to the medieval Newari village of Panauti, southeast of Bhaktapur. Following the 50-minute drive passing through suburban and forest areas, you will reach Panauti. Most parts of the road are blacktopped, so the ride is smooth, but as you reach Panauti, the road is mostly stone laid so that the ride can be bumpy.
Panauti has been listed in the UNESCO tentative sites since 1996. Parking the motorbikes as instructed, visit the Indreni Temple, one of the tallest pagoda-style temples in Nepal, and then the famous Panauti Durbar Square, with its cultural and religious significance.
After exploring the town on foot, get your bikes ready and head to Namobuddha, a famous Buddhist pilgrimage site in Nepal. After reaching there, take a short uphill walk to the Thrangu Tashi Yangtse / Namobuddha Monastery, built to honor a sacrifice made by one of the earlier Buddhas. After learning the history and origin of this site from your guide or the locals, drive back to Kathmandu city's Pashupatinath temple.
Pashupatinath, one of the holiest Hindu temples in the world, is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Pilgrims from all over the world visit the temple once in their lifetime. From there, the drive continues to Boudhanath Stupa, located northeast. It is one of the biggest stupas in Nepal, with a giant mandala of peace and beauty.
After enjoying the sunset view, return to your hotel in Thamel.
