Your luxurious helicopter tour with landings begins from Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. Duration: 4-5 Hours

Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport - Fly Kathmandu to Lukla

You will be driven to the airport from your hotel. The flight is usually scheduled early in the morning as the skies remain clear in the mountains in the early hours. Get on board and fly east towards Lukla. Enjoy panoramic views of Kathmandu before heading towards the mountains. Fly above Himalayan peaks till you reach Lukla, a mountaintop Sherpa settlement known as the ‘Gateway to Everest’. Land at Tenzing-Hillary Airport for refueling (10 to 15 minutes). Later, head towards the mountains.

Fly Lukla to EBC and Kala Patthar (5,550m/19,290ft)

Enjoy breathtaking views of glacial rivers, Sherpa settlements, and monasteries. Fly over the emerald Gokyo Lakes and frozen glaciers. Hover above Everest Base Camp, the base camp of expedition groups attempting to scale Mount Everest. If it’s a climbing season, the snow-covered landscape will be filled with colorful tents. View the broad glacial basin of Western Cwm, Khumbu Icefall and Khumbu Glacier. You are almost at the foot of Mount Everest, surrounded by one of the most incredible views on this planet. A chain of some of the highest peaks in the world rises up all around you. Soak in the views and take pictures. As Kala Patthar lies at an altitude of 5,550 meters, the air is thin and oxygen levels low. Later fly to Shyangboche.

Breakfast at Shyangboche (30-40 minutes) – Fly to Kathmandu

Stop at Shyangboche for breakfast. Flanked by the frozen walls of Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Khumbu Himal you celebrate the completion of this wonderful tour. Bid goodbye to these grand peaks and fly back to Kathmandu. Before landing at Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport, enjoy aerial views of Bouddhanath, Swoyambhunath, Pashupatinath, and the durbar squares, all UNESCO World Heritage Sites. From the airport, you will be driven back to your hotel.

This Everest experience was such an amazing thrill on a helicopte. Once in a lifetime helicopter tour to Everest base camp and Kalapatar. It was one of the best experiences in my life. The weather was clear, the mountains were visible. Landing at pheriche for shuttle and at kalapatther was outstanding. Breakfast at Everest view hotel was lovely perk. it was affordable. The group-sharing flight made it affordable for me. I made a friend from the flight. Overall, it was great experience and want to thank Naba for this opportunity. I can never forget this heli tour in my life.

Heli Experience with TRA

I am pleased to write my experience with Third Rock about one day Everest base camp Helicopter Tour. I felt like it was a precious time in my life. The mountains called and I went to it. I feel it this way. Early morning we drove but the flight was disturbed due to the weather later the weather turned super crisp. Maybe I was destined to reach the base camp and Kala Patthar by helicopter. What a day! What a flight! I'll come back Nepal next year and go for ABC TREK. Beautiful short heli tour to EBC

This was such an incredible experience. Everything, including the city tour to Kathmandu valley on the first day, and the whole heli tour to Everest base camp and Kalapatar was amazing. Naba helped us find the group joining trip because we needed to do this trip total of 5 people. The company staff was all incredibly kind, especially our tour manager. Amazing Heli tour to EBC

Great Experience

I am lucky enough to have traveled by helicopter to Everest base camp and Kala Patthar. I was planning this trip for a long. But, I finally made it this year. Thanks to Naba for putting effort into making my trip on fixed departure dates. The sightseeing experience was unmatched. Omg! Everest was humongous from Kala Patthar. The Khumbu Icefall, glaciers, and moraines, all were inspiring it a great experience. Also, the rate was affordable. I am planning for the Annapurna Base Camp trek this year autumn season. Can't wait to be back in Nepal and I will choose them again and for every Nepal adventure.

Beautiful Heli Tour

I booked heli service for morning but had to wait for a couple of hours due to bad weather and bad visibility. Naba personally handled this situation by updating me about the heli service. He messaged me time and again updating about the weather to fly to Lukla and EBC. Luckily it opened before 12pm and I was on heli on before 12pm. The heli took me to Lukla, EBC and Kalapatthar and Syangboche hotel for breakfast, although it wasn't breakfast for me. When I was back to Kathmandu, met with Naba in Thamel and shared my experience with him. Highly recommended service for heli tour to Everest.

Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour

This was my second time with them after Upper Mustang Trek. We were really impressed with their guide and the service so we had no doubt this time. An american friend of mine suggested this company for treks and tours in Nepal. We booked heli before a week with them after having a long conversation with them. The heli ride rewarded best view of the mountains and also Boudhanath Stupa in Kathmandu. The company took care of us as their family. Great gesture by the company. Everest Base Camp Helicopter

Highly recommended for Helicopter Adventures trips in Nepal. As I was in the Thamel area I decided to meet the team in person. Prayana was most helpful. He explained the trip in meticulous detail. Most of all I was assured that weather permitting I will be taken to kalapather where the views of Everest will be the best and indeed it was. I suspect that some companies dont offer this. We were collected in a nice car at 5 am for the Airport. After basic security checks (make sure you have ID. Ideally a copy of your passport and the visa) we were taken to the Helicopter take-off site on the side of the main airport. At each point a guide escorted and explained the process. The Helicopter company Altitude Air is top-notch with state-of-the-art helicopters. The pilot Pasang was amazing. He looked after us so well and kept us entertained. The whole process is quite complex and involves a lot of logistics. All done extremely efficiently. When we arrived back a guide Babu was waiting for us. He too was superb and looked after us well. All in all, Third Rock Adventures is highly recommended. They have experience and dedicated guides who speak fluent English Hindi and I am sure other languages too lead by good management. Mr. Naba personally came to see me too which was lovely. Leaving Nepal with lot of Happy memories

Flying to Everest

If time and fitness are the obstacles between you and the highest peak of the world Everest then helicopter tour of Everest is your answer. We flew to Luka with excitement to see Everest in front of our eyes. After a brief stopover for refueling, we flew again to Kalapattar. Looking at the bird’s eye view of the Everest and neighboring mountains was mesmerizing and overwhelming. I took a lot of pictures and later was just basking in its beauty. It is one of the most memorable moments of my life.

Memories to cherish

Once in a lifetime experience of Everest helicopter tour. I and my husband wanted to see Everest in front of our eyes but trekking wasn’t an option. The helicopter tour was thrilling and exciting at the same time. We not only saw the bird’s eye view of Everest but we also had breakfast with a view. Capturing the beauty of Everest from Kalapathar was awesome! The breathtaking sight and the cold breeze fell in love with its indescribable beauty. It will forever remain vivid in my memory.

Awesome heli tour to Everest base camp

Though my wife and I are in our late sixties, we love to travel to new places. As much as we would have liked to trek to Everest, we could not do so due to my wife’s recent knee surgery. Since we mentioned that our dream was to visit Everest Region, the sales people at Third Rock Adventures suggested this comfortable Everest Heli Tour. This could be completed in a day and did not involve any walking, the sales staff informed us and we were elated. This adventure proved to be better than we expected. The mountain views were amazing, as promised. We felt blessed to stand beneath some of the highest peaks in the world. It was marvelous! We were also given an aerial tour of Kathmandu’s World Heritage Sites by the pilot before the final landing. We are GREATFUL TO thanks for this trip of lifetime

Helicopter Ride to Everest

Third Rock Adventures really made our vacation in Nepal the best, we have ever had. My family and I had planned a vacation to Nepal early last year. The idea was to come here and get a taste of the country’s rich history, culture and architecture. We know that Nepal is known for its beautiful mountains, but we had no intention of hiking or trekking. After the trip, Third Rock Adventures came up with this beautiful package that would take us to Everest Base Camp on a helicopter. At first I was a little reluctant as I thought chartering a helicopter to go and see Everest would be very expensive but when they told me the price, I immediately booked it. We started from the international airport and headed towards Lukla-gateway to Everest. After refueling, we started our short flight to Everest Base Camp and Kalapatthar. I and my family had never ever imagined that we would stand at the base of the world’s highest mountain. The memory still gets me excited. We stopped at Sangboche on the way back for breakfast and in no time we were back to Kathmandu. Cheers to Third Rock Adventures for delivering everything they promised. Their service is no doubt the best and they definitely walk the talk. Next time I come to Nepal, they will definitely hear from me.
