After landing at Kathmandu International Airport, a representative from Third Rock Adventures will welcome you and drop you at the hotel. After a short rest, you'll visit our head office for a pre-trek briefing. You'll meet your guide here, and he’ll brief you about the upcoming trek. You can ask your trek guide if you have any questions regarding the trip. Later you can check your gear if you forget anything; you can buy or hire from nearby shops in Thamel. Afterward, you can return to the hotel and prepare for the trek.

Early morning you'll enjoy a hearty breakfast and drive to Kathmandu International Airport. From the domestic terminal, you'll fly to Lukla by regular flight. During this short flight, you'll enjoy the panoramic views of the majestic Himalayas, green hills, and small settlements of Sherpa people from above. After landing at Lukla, you'll meet other crew members and start your trek to Phakding. Today is the first day so start slow. Enjoying the countryside view, passing through small villages and rice fields, you'll reach Phakding. Once you get to the village, you can wander around and visit nearby monasteries, stupas, chortens, etc.

Today, you'll head towards Namche Bazaar, a central hub of the Khumbu region. You'll cross numerous stairs and rivers over suspension bridges along the trekking path. You'll get the captivating sight of valleys, forests, rivers, and snowcapped peaks out in the distance. Passing by several small villages and crossing the famous double suspension bridge, you arrive at Namche. You’ll get the first opportunity to see Mt. Everest in the distance.

Early morning, you'll enjoy the Himalayan breakfast with the grand snow-capped mountain views. After having breakfast, you'll start your acclimatization hike to Thamo village. It lies southeast of Thame village. The trail is also secluded, so the route is not overcrowded even during peak seasons. The hike is pleasant with outstanding mountain views, and you'll come across several picturesque villages. The trek route goes through a rocky path above the valley of Bhote Koshi River till you reach Phurte.
In this Phurte village, you'll witness several chortens and mani walls. After crossing this village, you'll get to the charming town of Thamo, which has an appealing setup with old stone houses. You can explore the surroundings and visit the famous Thamo monastery. After exploring the village, you'll return to Namche Bazaar.

Early morning, you'll start your hike from Namche Bazaar to Hotel Everest View via Khumjung village. It is a lovely village near the Khumbila Peak (5,761m). In this village, the historic Khumjung Monastery is well worth a visit. It is home to the only remaining yeti scalp. Also, you can visit the Khumjung Hilary School, built by Sir Edmund Hilary. Further, you'll enjoy the breathtaking views of the glorious mountains, including Mt. Everest.
After having a small detour in Khumjung village, you'll make your way to Hotel Everest View. You'll follow a zig-zag-dirted trail with some flat portions. From time to time, you'll stop and enjoy the view of Namche Bazaar from up top, as well as the beautiful Mt. Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Everest hovering over the village.
After a few hours of walking, you'll reach Hotel Everest View. It is one of the most luxurious hotels that stands at a high altitude with such a great mountain setup.
