Kathmandu Durbar Square
We will start the tour from your hotel, walking to Ason Market near Thamel. The busy alleys of Ason are jammed with street vendors and tiny shops selling everything from spice vendors to yak tails and chocolates. Witness the daily lives of local people there and visit squares and ancient temples. Don't forget to visit the three-storey Annapurna Temple. Next, walk towards Kathmandu Durbar Square through the busy street.
We will then continue the walk to Swayambhunath Stupa, a UNESCO world heritage site in Kathmandu. Swayambhunath Stupa is popular for the panoramic view of the entire Kathmandu Valley. This stupa in Kathmandu is among the favorite places of travelers. At last, we will walk back to Thamel. You will have the option to hire a taxi to Thamel from Swayambhunath. The local guide will arrange it for you.
