Namche Bazaar Trek and Helicopter Tour - 6 days

Flying into the bustling Kathmandu city, the capital of Nepal, you'll enjoy the view of the valley, green hills, and mountains. After completing the customs, a representative of Third Rock Adventures will be waiting to welcome you outside the Kathmandu International Airport. He will help you to transfer to the hotel in the central area of the capital city.

Once you have settled in, you can head out and explore the nearby places. You can walk through narrow alleyways full of small shops, ancient temples, and restaurants. In the evening, Thamel is a good place to hang out. You can grab your meal from one of the restaurants offering both western and local Nepal cuisine.

Overnight stay in Kathmandu. 

Early in the morning, you'll head towards Kathmandu airport and take a regular flight to Lukla. The flight will be very scenic, with an amazing glimpse of Kathmandu Valley and the Himalayas located in the distance. After landing at Lukla airport, you'll begin your trekking adventure. 

Once you reach Phakding, you can rest briefly and take a short walk around the village. It has several restaurants and cafes with Wi-Fi facilities. Next, it is also home to several monasteries, including Rimishung Monastery.

Today you'll head towards Namche Bazaar, a popular stop for acclimatization during the EBC trek. You'll begin the trek by walking along the bank of the Dudh Koshi River. As you move forward, you'll cross several bridges, including the Hillary suspension bridge, decorated with colorful prayer flags. Eventually, you'll arrive at Sagarmatha National Park by crossing Monjo village.

After registering your permit at the park, you'll gradually climb up the forests, where you'll relish the first sight of mighty Everest. Continuing your walk through the stone-paved way, you'll reach Namche Bazaar. The town is a bustling tourist hub full of bakery cafes, hotels, lodges, and shops. The lively environment and warm hospitality of Sherpa people will make your stay pleasant at Namche.

Today you'll go for an acclimatization hike to the nearby villages of Khumjung and Khunde. These two villages are known as Green Valley and offer the magnificent panorama of Mt. Ama Dablam and Thamserku. On the way to Khumjung valley, you can visit Hillary School and old monasteries. Further, the Khumjung monastery is worth visiting, where you can witness rare Yeti scalps. 

Next, you'll hike to Hotel Everest View, where you can enjoy a drink with the beautiful panorama of Mt. Everest and other mountains. After the acclimatization hike, you'll get back to Namche Bazaar. Exploring these villages offers you great insight into local Sherpa culture and lifestyle. Later you'll conclude your day enjoying the delicious authentic Sherpa food in Namche.

Today is the big day of your tour as you'll be flying to your dream destination, Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar. Early morning you'll board a helicopter and fly from Namche Bazaar over Everest Base Camp and Khumbu Glacier to Kala Patthar, the trip's highest point.

After a close flyover to the base camp, you'll land at Kala Patthar. It is the highest trekking point of the EBC trek, where you'll get a close-up unobstructed sight of Mt. Everest, the world's tallest peak. You'll have an amazing time amidst the world's highest mountain. After savoring this once-in-a-lifetime view of some of the world's highest mountains, you'll fly back to Lukla first and then to Kathmandu.

Today Namche Bazaar Trek and Helicopter Tour end with your final departure. Waving a final goodbye, you'll head towards the international airport. A representative from Third Rock Adventures will drop you at the airport 3 hours before your departure flight.
