Welcome to the land of Everest! Upon arrival at Kathmandu International Airport and completing airport formalities, a representative from Third Rock Adventures will escort you to the Dwarika's Hotel. Take your time to refresh, and after settle in, you can explore the hotel. While strolling around the hotel, you'll get an authentic experience of Nepal's ancient cultural heritage.
Later that evening, there will be a short meet-up for trip briefing covering all the essential aspects of the trek.

Visit some major culturally significant landmarks such as Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, and Patan Durbar Square. After a hot breakfast, begin your tour with a visit to Patan Durbar Square and Golden Temple in the Patan, Lalitpur. It is more fun to see beautiful ancient architecture. Newa people also had built so many Hindu and Buddhist temples and monuments around the area.
Extend your tour toward Swayambhunath, famous as Monkey Temple. The top of the temple offers you stunning panoramic vistas of the valley and city below. At the center of the temple sits a stupa surrounded by smaller shrines and temples.
Further, the Kathmandu tour proceeds to the Hindu temple of Pashupatinath. Also, the temple is a sacred pilgrimage center for devotees of Shiva. The area stretched along the bank of the Bagmati River and consists of more than 500 other small temples, ashrams, and living quarters. From this small town, the trek commences entering through Pasang Lhamu Sherpa Memorial gate. Gradually the trail descends to Cheplung village, and you'll witness the striking scenery of the surging Dudh Koshi River. Crossing the suspension bridge over Thado Khola brings you the Ghat village. On the way, you notice the first mountain sight of Khumbila peak (5,761m/18,901ft).
Well, today's trek is relatively easy as the trail is flat. The trail continues toward the first stop of the hike, Phakding. The village has numerous ancient gompas, mani stones, prayer wheels. Once you reach Phakding, check into the Yeti Mountain Home. Located on the bank of the Dudh Koshi River, this lodge offers utterly beautiful scenery.

After a delightful breakfast, begin your journey towards Namche Bazaar. Today, the trail continues on the forested area along the bank of Dudh Koshi River. You have to cross several suspension bridges. The spectacular mountain scenery completely dominates the entire route.
Further, walking through the small settlements of Benkar, Chumoa, and Monjo, arrive at the main entrance of Sagarmatha National Park. From here, the trail ascends through the dense forest and continues until you reach the Jhorsale village. This village is a confluence of the Dudh Koshi River and Bhote Koshi River.
Finally, the trail proceeds through the Tenzing-Hillary suspension bridge over Dudh Koshi River and concludes at Namche Bazaar. It is the prominent tourist hub in the Khumbu region. Here you'll find plenty of internet cafes, shops, restaurants, ATMs, and even Government offices.

Leaving the main trail of Everest Base Camp behind, you'll head towards Thame village. The trekkers heading towards Renjo La Pass follow the ancient salt trading and pilgrimage route. Along the way, the fantastic scenery and iconic mountain vistas of the Everest region are always remarkable.
After few hours of walk through the forest trail, you'll reach the village of Thamo. The village is home to the famous Ang Rita Sherpa, who holds the record for climbing Mt. Everest ten times without oxygen. Continue your walk until you reach a deep gorge of Bhote Koshi River. Crossing the river over the well-built bridge, you reach today's final destination, Thame village.
Thame village holds historical importance as it has been home to many famous Everest climbers. Two of them are Tenzing Norgay, the first to reach the summit of Everest, along with Sir Edmund Hillary and Apa Sherpa, who has climbed the summit at least 18 times.
The charming village also has the ancient Nyingmapa monastery built by Lama Rolwa Dorje. Later, spend an hour in leisure and relax at Thame village, enjoying the enchanting views of Thamserku and Kusum Kanguru.

After a restful night at Thame, you are ready to start the day and head towards Kongde. Today you'll follow the new trail, built specifically for the Yeti Mountain Home Lodge. So, while trekking, you get to enjoy complete solitude on the trail as rarely other trekkers will share this route.
Even it's a new trail, it is well-built with some steep ground. In one short section, you have to use cables as handrails for your safety. Although there are some challenging portions, you'll get magical vistas of the Himalayas at the end of the day. Climb gradually through a forest of rhododendron, pine, and bamboo you reach the glacier of Kongde Peak. From here, you get the mouthwatering views of Everest, Ama Dablam, and Lhotse.
Once you reach Kongde, you'll check into your beautiful lodge. After a weary day, you can enjoy a hot shower and head outside for a drink with the best panoramas of the Everest region.
