This trek takes you to Bandipur and 17-Jhyal Homestay, perched in the southern part of the Lalitpur district. Known for its 17 carved windows (17 Jhyal in Nepali) and straw roof, 17-Jhyal Homestay offers a genuine Nepali village lifestyle and insights into the Bhardeo community. Once you arrive at the Tribhuvan International Airport, a representative from Third Rock Adventures will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel in Thamel. After refreshments and relaxation, stroll around the neighborhood of Thamel and explore the busiest market square of Kathmandu, also known as Ason. Ason is famed for its bustling bazaar and unique location.

Early in the morning, you will be taking a short drive to Bandipur, located just about 147km from the city of Kathmandu. It takes about 5 hours to reach Bandipur on a private vehicle. Bandipur is a beautifully preserved Newari town, also dubbed living "museum of Newari culture." The street lined with traditional houses and hotels gives different vibes to first-time visitors. If time permits us, we will be hiking to Siddha Gufa Cave, the largest cave in Nepal.

Take a 5 to 6 hour drive to Galeswor from Bandipur after savoring a light breakfast. Galeswor is the starting point for this trek. En route, cross the suspension bridge over the Kali Gandaki Gorge. Ascend slowly, soaking up the grandeur of the trail to Bans Kharka. After 3 to 4 hours, you will reach Bans Kharka.

Wake up early in the morning and prepare yourself for 7 hours trek to Nagi. The trail meanders through beautiful villages of the Magar people. The trek grants stunning views of the mountains and diverse landscapes. Today you will get an opportunity to visit an organic farm school.

On this day, you will head to Mohare Danda, one of the best viewpoints in the Annapurna region. You can admire the stunning views of Annapurna South, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Hiunchuli, Machapuchare (Fishtail), and surrounding peaks from Mohare Danda. In the evening, you can enjoy a stunning sunset from the viewpoint. The trail to Mohare Danda is considered the best trail in Annapurna's lower regions. It should take you about 7 hours to reach this viewpoint from Nagi.

On the 6th day, you will trek towards Ghorepani, a beautiful village settlement. Walk through lush rhododendron forests on your way to Ghorepani. Ghorepani, inside the Annapurna Conservation Area (ACA), is the base camp for the Poon Hill trek. It takes about 5 hours to reach Ghorepani from Mohare Danda. Ghorepani has a number of guesthouses providing meals and accommodation to trekkers who spend the night a night before the early morning trek to Poon Hill.

On this day, you'll wake up before 4 pm to climb the hill station of Poon Hill and watch the spectacular sunrise and 360-degree views of snowcapped mountains. It takes about an hour to climb Poon Hill from Ghorepani. After spending quality time there, you will descend to Tadapani via Banthanti village, your destination for the day. En route, hike past Deurali Danda, another resting ground that offers inspiring views of the Annapurnas.

This is your last day in the mountains. From Tadapani, traverse through the rugged trail to Kimche via Ghandruk, one of the most popular travel destinations in Nepal. Along the route, you will make your way through forested trails, waterfalls, and streams. Just before you reach Ghandruk, you will reach Bhise-Kharka. After continuously walking for about 6 hours, you will be in Ghandruk. From Ghandruk, catch a bus or jeep to Pokhara.

If you wish to explore the tourist attractions of Pokhara before returning to Kathmandu, do let us know. We will arrange a half-day guided sightseeing tour for you. It is a 25-minute flight to Kathmandu from Pokhara and rewards spectacular views of the cityscape and mountains. Upon reaching Kathmandu, we will freshen up and board a private jeep to 17-Jhyal Homestay. It is 190 years old home and boasts a unique ambiance, perfect for anyone who wishes to escape the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu.

On the 10th day, we will be back in Kathmandu. Today, we shall explore Patan, Bungamati and Khokana. Home to Patan Durbar Square, Patan is best known for its rich cultural heritage and brims with temples and palaces. Next, we have Bungamati, a rustic Newari town, the hometown of the deity Machhindranath. It is a short drive to Bungamati and then about a 20-minute drive to Khokana. Explore these two Newari towns and return back to your hotel.

On this day, there are no particular things to do except shopping. You can explore the city area in an attempt to do the shopping for yourself and your families before you go to your home. Thamel has a lot of things for you to buy as souvenirs. From traditional Nepali clothing to Cashmere/ Pashmina and stone jewelry to Nepali handicrafts, you have a lot to choose from. In any case, our guide will walk you through some of the best shops to buy from.
