The Short Langtang trek takes you to the lush green terrain and villages of the Langtang region located in the north Himalayan landscape of Nepal. It is one of the quickest Himalayan trekking adventures with the trail closest to Kathmandu, which makes it so popular. It takes only a day's trek to return from the same route, which is one of the shortest alternatives compared to other Langtang treks.
Although short, it is packed with mesmerizing views of the Langtang range of mountains, pristine Bhote Koshi river, and unique wildlife. Some of the best experiences of this trek are visiting the Langtang village inhabited by the Tamang community, visiting the ancient Kyanjin gompa, hiking to the highest point, and witnessing the lush forests.
The 9 days Short Langtang trek is suitable for all age groups, whether young or old, families or individuals. Even novice trekkers can take up this trek as it is graded an easy to moderate level.
This trek requires minimum physical fitness and no past trekking experiences. There isn't a drastic altitude change as it starts from a minimum of 1,500m/4,921ft at Syabrubesi and reaches the maximum of 4,984m/16,352ft at Tserko Ri. The altitude change is also slow because of the proper acclimatization day.
On an average you will have to walk for about 5 to 6 hours each day during the trek. On the last day of the trek, you would have to walk the longest for about 8 to 9 hours which would exert pressure on the knees as it covers the area from Kyangjin to Syabrubesi. For those people who have issues with walking downhill, it might get challenging on the final day for which you need to be prepared.
It is also suited to those people who wish to experience the rural village life, lush flora, and fauna nearest to Kathmandu in a limited time.

It is a ridge in Kyanjin with the most amazing views of the mountains and the highest elevation of this entire trek.
