Mustang among the world's best must-visit destinations in 2023

On May 13, CNN Travel published an article titled "The best places to go in 2023" that listed Mustang, Nepal as one of the best travel destinations in the world in 2023.

According to the report released by the American news agency CNN, Nepal's Mustang Valley has also been included in the list of places to visit in 2023. Mustang is mentioned as one of the must-visit places in South Asia. 

Nepal's Mustang Valley is located at the door of Tibet. According to CNN, Mustang is one of the old trails that facilitate trade between the Himalayas and India, and has been mentioned as a famous place for Himalayan trekking.

Above the small town of Jomsom in Lower Mustang, there are many resorts available here. Resorts range from luxury seekers to 29 suites inspired by traditional Tibetan homes.

Apart from trekking, tourists can visit ancient villages and Buddhist monasteries in Mustang. Also not to be missed are the man-made caves, where 2,000-year-old Buddhist sculptures and paintings can be seen.

Reaching Mustang Valley is a part of the adventure in itself. Passengers will have to take a 25-minute flight from the capital Kathmandu to Pokhara and then board another plane for a 20-minute journey to Jomsom. It can be reached by a 12-hour drive from Kathmandu. The views during alternative travel can make it more attractive than air travel.

CNN has mentioned other cities like Poland, Cairo, and Laos besides Mustang.
