We got generally lucky with the weather while doing the Everest Base Camp trek with Gokyo Lakes. The joy of visiting Everest with friends is beyond words could justify. As the days passed the landscaped changed; the hustle and bustle of the Kathmandu city to green valleys, high mountains, pristine water, big chunks of ice followed by the barren land with mud. Everest is more about the journey and getting to know yourself, than the destination.
It will be difficult if your body cannot adapt to the altitude. My advice is to trek to a higher elevation than you normally would trek during your training period for this trek.
