Dhananjaya Bhatta is our Trekking Leader with more than 7 years of experience in trekking. In 7 years of career, he has trekked hundreds of times in the popular trekking routes of Nepal. His major achievement includes trekking in the famous Everest region over 10 times and the Annapurna region more than 60 times. He has also trekked to Langtang region more than 15 times and Manaslu region for more than 10 times. Trekking to the isolated trekking region of Nepal, Upper Mustang more than 12 times is a feat in itself.
Dhananjaya hails from Gorkha and spent his childhood in the hills around the Manaslu region of Nepal. His love for mountains brought him to the tourism industry. He first worked as a porter in 2017. Gradually, he upgraded himself to a porter guide and worked as an assistant guide until 2022. Dhananjaya is working as a trekking guide since 2022 and his achievement speaks volumes about his passion for trekking. He has trekked to almost all possible trekking regions of Nepal including Everest, Annapurna, Manaslu, Langtang, Upper Mustang and others.
Our trekking leader, Dhananjaya takes the safety of our clients very seriously. Knowledge of first aid is significant for a trekking leader. He is trained personnel in ‘Advance Wilderness First Aid Training’ from Kathmandu Environmental Educational Project (KEEP) in association with Nepal Tourism Board. In 2019, he participated in a first-aid training workshop organized by a leading private hospital. The workshop focused on giving first aid in critical situations followed by Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), management of unconscious causalities, bleeding intervention, and others.
He is a certified trekking guide from the Government of Nepal. Our trekking leader attended ‘Eco Trekking Workshop & Adventure Meet’ by the Trekking Agents Association of Nepal (TAAN). Further, he received Tourism Leadership Development Training from Kathmandu Environmental Educational Project (KEEP). Being trained in ‘Basic Rock & Ice Climbing & Mountaineering’ from Nepal Mountaineering Association gives him an upper hand in rugged terrains.
Although he has completed his Bachelor in Business Studies his love for trekking didn’t let him pursue anything else. Friendly Dhananjaya along with a pleasant personality is quite famous among trekkers. He has a good command of Nepali, Hindi, Malayu and English languages. Also, he has traveled to India and Malaysia.
