Our Mountaineering Leader Chhewang Palden Sherpa has more than 25 years of experience. “Real Heros of Mountains” Sherpas like Chhewang, lead their foreign client to mountains and make the dream of summiting mountains a reality. He summited the tallest mountain in the world, Mount Everest (8,848m) 4 times. He has also scaled over 8,000m Tibetan peak, Mount Shishapangma (8,013m). His long list of achievement includes summiting Island Peak (6,189m) more than 300 times, Lobuche Peak (6,119 m) over 250 times and Mera Peak (6,476m) around 100 times. Moreover, Chhewang successfully climbed Kyajo Ri Peak (6,186m) more than 30 times and Nirekha peak (6,069m) over 20 times.
Being born and bought up in the lap of Mount Everest- Solokhumbu, Chhewang knows Everest region like the back of his hand. Young Chhewang stepped in the tourism industry and worked as a porter, kitchen boy, assistant guide, and cook before being a trekking guide. As a trekking guide, he has trekked to major trekking regions of Nepal including Everest, Annapurna, Langtang, Manaslu, and others.
Mountains fascinated Chhewang and gradually, he learned the art of climbing with senior climbers. With time and training, he honed his mountaineering skills. His passion and proficiency in mountaineering are evident with his long list of achievements in mountain climbing. Chhewang has climbed over 100 different mountains in Nepal and Tibet. Peaks which he climbed a maximum number of times includes Island Peak (6,189m), Lobuche Peak (6,119 m), Mera Peak (6,476m), Kyajo Ri Peak (6,186m), and Nirekha peak (6,069m). He has also climbed Pachhermo Peak (6,187m), Yala Peak (5,520m), Yalung Ri Peak (5630m), Janu Himal (7,710m), Mt. Ramdung Go (5,930m), Pokhalde Peak (5,806m), Mount Shishapangma (8,013m), and Ama Dablam (6,812m). Moreover, Chhewang has scaled Baruntse (7,129m), Gangapurna (7,455m), Pumori (7,161m), Tilicho (7,134m), Lhakpa Ri (7,045m), Api Himal (7,132m), Tukuche Peak (6,920m), Pisang Peak (6,092m), and Hiunchuli peak (6441m). Further, he has summited Dhampus Peak (6,012m), Chulu West (6,419m), Chulu East (6,584m), Tent Peak (5,663m), Himlung Himal (7,126m), Naya Kanga Peak (5,122m), Kwangde Peak (6,011m), Larke Peak (6,249m), Mardi Himal (5,587m), Maccherma Peak (6,237m), and many more.

Additionally, he has a certificate of the Refresher Course on Mountain Rescue Operations and First Aid Training of MST from ECO Himal. MST stands for Mountaineering School of Thame. Chhewang holds a certificate on English Language Refreshment Course from prominent Himalayan Academy of Travel & Tourism. He speaks in English, Hindi, Tibetan, Sherpa, and Nepali languages.
